Enjoy life, read THE BIG LAKE by Nick Russell.
No, this isn't a pelican, unfortunately I was enjoying the view so much I forgot to snap a picture. But this is the Encinitas, Ca beach, my old stomping grounds.
I've thought of returning to beautiful Taos, NM, and I still may. But for now, I'm falling back in love with Encinitas and thinking of beach bumming for a few years. Writing and beach bumming, what could be better for someone like me?
For all you millions of my readers (and the few thousands who really do read my work) Encinitas is in Southern California, in San Diego county. It's about 30 miles from the Mexican border. The nearest Mexican city is Tijuana, also know as TJ.
I have mixed feelings about TJ, but since I haven't been there for years and years, I think I'll revisit it before I write anything denigrating about it.
Have any of you been to Encinitas? Been to San Diego? Love it? Hate it? Couldn't believe people really live as if getting up and jogging in the morning is more important than closing down the house?
Enjoy life, read a book.
