One of the great things about being a writer is that you get to meet a lot of other writers.
Christopher Bernard and I have been friends for more than twenty years. We argue, we bitch, we talk into the night, encourage each other and try to be tactful when the other acts the fool. Most of all we admire each other.
So let me brag a little about my friend Chris. He's a fantastic writer and it's not just his friends who think so. The following is quote from one of the reviews of his collection of short stories,
In The American Night.
"Christopher Bernard is one of the most unique voices in American literature today. His latest, the short story collection In the American Night, is a sampler of what makes Bernard a fascinating literary figure."
